Bay View Vista Senior Apartments – Services Goals

Our goals are to empower residents and support self sufficiency by providing supportive services. Programs are offered at no cost to our residents. Listed below are some of the services provided, including but not limited to:

1. Computer Education
Classes are taught twice a week to all interested residents at the on-site computer center.
Computer education begins with the computer instructor assessing the skill level of each participant. The instructor then works with each resident to help them individually and as a class, effectively navigate computer programs, the internet and other computer capabilities. The goal of computer education is to empower the families and support increased education and independence.

2. Volunteer Program
The volunteer program recently came to fruition in May 2005. Volunteers help fulfill part of our mission of providing quality, integrated services and activities for the residents.

4. Weekly exercise and strength training classes

5. Financial classes to develop residents’ money management skills (checking and saving accounts), helping them manage and maintain their income, thereby ensuring financial stability.

6. Discussion group on various issues (facilitated monthly)

7. Social events and parties

8. Arts and crafts classes

9. Resident community meetings

10. Monthly newsletter is written by residents and staff to communicate upcoming events, issues and thoughts about various topics
