Director of Asset Management
Mr. Monty overseas all asset management functions of Las Palmas’ extensive portfolio of affordable housing projects. This consists of overseeing third party property management companies, and directing the preparation and assembly of grant, state and federal housing applications. He tracks the ongoing performance of all affordable properties with respect to financial and occupancy figures. He also conducts site visits in order to observe and maintain the condition of properties, as well as to ensure the long term viability of the portfolio’s assets.
Mr. Monty holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from San Diego State University. A Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Financial Management from National University, as well as a Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development from the University of San Diego. He has a background in property management, including overseeing the compliance of an affordable housing portfolio of over 19,000 Tax Credit and Housing & Urban Development funded units.
